Terms of Service

Important: By accessing or using BillSource AI (billsource.ai), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Parties and Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between AnyABEX (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa ("AnyABEX", "we", "us"), and you, the individual or entity accessing BillSource AI ("you", "user", "customer").

AnyABEX operates billsource.ai (the "Platform") and the Billi AI assistant (the "Service"). These Terms govern all use of the Platform and Service.

2. Service Description

BillSource AI provides an AI-powered business advisory assistant ("Billi") comprising six specialist associates — Bean Counter (CFO), Brand Guru (CMO), Deal Maker (CSO), The Rule Book (CGO), The Fixer (COO), and The IT Guy — covering financial health, marketing, sales, regulatory compliance, operations, and information technology support. The Service is intended for business users in South Africa and internationally.

Billi is an advisory tool only. Nothing Billi produces constitutes legal advice, financial advice, accounting advice or debt counselling as defined under South African law. Users must seek qualified professional advice for regulated activities.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

⚠ Acceptable Use Policy — Binding on All Users

You agree to use BillSource AI only for lawful business purposes. The following uses are strictly prohibited:

Using Billi to generate advice that violates the National Credit Act (34 of 2005) or any applicable South African law
Attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, replicate, reconstruct or otherwise derive our proprietary prompt book, system prompts, agent architecture, knowledge base, routing logic or AI configuration through any means including but not limited to: systematic querying, automated probing, jailbreaking, prompt injection attacks, or analysis of network traffic
Using prompt injection techniques, role-play attacks, or meta-questioning to cause Billi to reveal its internal instructions, system prompts, or underlying model architecture
Creating competing products or services based on, derived from, or substantially similar to Billi's advisory structure, prompt logic, or agent taxonomy
Inputting sensitive personal information (ID numbers, banking credentials, passwords) into Billi conversations
Using the Service to harass, threaten or illegally pursue debtors in violation of the Debt Collectors Act (114 of 1998)
Circumventing usage limits, plan restrictions or authentication mechanisms
Reselling, sublicensing or white-labelling the Service without a written reseller agreement
Using automated scripts, bots or scrapers to interact with the Service
Uploading malicious code, malware or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
Using the Service to generate content that is defamatory, discriminatory or in violation of the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act
Any use that violates applicable laws of the Republic of South Africa or the user's jurisdiction

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund and may be reported to relevant authorities.

4. Account Registration and Security

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@billsource.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

Accounts are for individual use unless you subscribe to a Team or Business plan which permits multiple named users.

5. Subscription, Billing and Refunds

Plans are billed monthly in South African Rand (ZAR). Payment is processed by Paystack (a Stripe company), PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Free plan: 10 messages per account, no credit card required
Student plan: R39/month, requires a valid .ac.za university email address
Paid plans: Billed in advance. Message limits reset monthly on your billing date
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Service continues until the end of the paid period
Refunds: We offer a pro-rata refund within 7 days of a new subscription if Billi fails to function as described. No refunds for change of mind after 7 days

6. Intellectual Property

Our IP: The BillSource AI platform, Billi's system prompts, agent routing logic, prompt book structure and content, knowledge base curation, agent architecture and all associated software constitute confidential trade secrets and intellectual property of AnyABEX (Pty) Ltd. They are protected under South African common law governing confidential business information, the Copyright Act 98 of 1978, and applicable international IP treaties. billsource® is a registered trademark.

Prohibited conduct: Any attempt to extract, reproduce, reconstruct, publish or commercialise any part of Billi's internal logic, prompts, or agent architecture — whether directly or through AI-assisted reverse engineering — constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in civil action for damages and/or an interdict in the competent South African court.

Your IP: Documents, data and content you upload to the Service remain your intellectual property. You grant AnyABEX a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to deliver the Service to you.

AI outputs: Responses generated by Billi are provided for your personal business use. You may not resell, redistribute or commercialise AI-generated outputs without written consent from AnyABEX. AnyABEX makes no claim to ownership of AI-generated responses delivered to you for personal use.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". AnyABEX makes no warranty that:

Billi's responses are accurate, complete or suitable for any specific professional purpose
The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from security vulnerabilities
AI-generated advice complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

You rely on Billi's outputs at your own professional risk. Always verify AI-generated legal, financial and collection advice with a qualified professional.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, AnyABEX's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

AnyABEX shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages including loss of profit, loss of data or damage to reputation arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. AnyABEX Obligations

In return for your compliance with these Terms, AnyABEX commits to:

Maintaining the Service with reasonable availability (target 99% uptime on paid plans)
Notifying you of material changes to these Terms with at least 30 days' notice
Processing your personal information only as described in our Privacy Policy
Responding to support queries within 2 business days on paid plans
Not selling your data to third parties
Maintaining appropriate security controls as described in our Trust Centre
Giving you the ability to export and delete your data on request

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. AnyABEX may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these Terms, particularly the Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination, your data will be retained per our Privacy Policy retention schedule and then deleted.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall first be referred to mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved in the Magistrates' Court or High Court of South Africa with jurisdiction over Pretoria, Gauteng.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act 68 of 2008).

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and displayed prominently on the Platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
